Dayton, OH January 24, 2007 - Impact Acoustics’ revolutionary RapidRun Digital™ system and SonicWave line of Speaker Interconnects™ were recently selected as 2006 Consumer Electronics Products of the Year by Audioholics.com. The annual awards honor electronic products in select categories that stand out based on personal experiences via reviews or demo's, as well as the market trends they set based on performance, features, and value.
The SonicWave line of high-quality speaker interconnects were named winner in the High Performance Speaker Cables category. RapidRun Digital, the latest addition to Impact Acoustics’ patent-pending RapidRun™ modular cabling system, was named winner in the A/V Cabling Innovation category. This is the third major award overall for the RapidRun system, which also received the 2005 Consumer Electronics Products of the Year from Audioholics.com in the category of Modular A/V Cabling Technology, and the 2006 CEA TechHome Mark of Excellence Award winner for Best Structured Wiring Distribution Device.

RapidRun Digital overcomes normal length limitations of TMDS video signals by providing HDCP compatible DVI and HDMI signals more than 80ft from source to display. The system features the patent-pending RapidRun Digital Active Wall Plate™, the first HDMI/DVI wall plate solution with an integrated equalizer/extender, which corrects for attenuation and impedance so the signal can be transmitted over the Digital Runner™, the system’s base cable, as long as 65ft at 1080p resolution. Utilizing the 65ft Runner, an Active Wall Plate with a standard 2m HDMI or DVI cable, and a 10ft Flying Lead, the total end to end length is over 80 feet!
SonicWave Speaker Interconnects provide the perfect combination of transparent and neutral, high quality audio reproduction and beauty. 10AWG oxygen-free copper is constructed from 7 bundles of 18AWG conductors for maximum flexibility. A 12mm PVC jacket provides the protection your cables need for a lifetime of performance. Two interchangeable connector options easily attach to the cables and provide configurations for the most common high-end speaker applications. They are available in lengths of 6-18ft enabling many options to match the requirements of each specific installation.
